The challenge

Former makeup artist and beauty influencer Aimee Connolly created a range of multi-use makeup products. We aimed to design an in-store influencer and pavilion experience to maximise the awareness of the launch of 'Sculpted by Aimee' in Boots stores.

Insight & Strategy

With 63% of beauty buyers having more trust in brands they can find on Instagram, we decided to utilise Aimee's sizeable online following to promote awareness of her brand launching into Boots. As such, we used her as the focal point of the experience. She led a masterclass in Boots Head Office, followed by a meet and greet in-store.

Activation

The event took place in Manchester Trafford Centre in October 2022.

We greeted invited attendees made up of influencers and press, alongside regular consumers, with fizz and branded cupcakes as they watched Aimee demo her new Satin Silk foundation and other hero products to create a fresh daytime look. She imparted knowledge of her brand while offering handy tips and tricks for the audience to recreate at home using the Sculpted range.

After the masterclass, attendees could mingle with Aimee instore to garner further insight into her makeup and boost brand love and loyalty.

We worked with POPAI Sustain tool to benchmark the environmental impact of all our displays.

As such, we made the Sculpted by Aimee kit 100% recyclable.
